Rohan is from Melbourne and completed his PhD in Experimental Particle Physics at Melbourne University before joining the Australian Synchrotron as an Accelerator Physicist in 2005. He is responsible for the operation and optimisation of the accelerator systems, with particular emphasis on the RF cavities. His current work includes studying machine impedance and instability issues, vertical emittance minimisation techniques and the design of injectors for 4th generation light sources. His research interests are in next generation linear accelerators for light sources and colliders.
