The Australian Synchrotron is to appoint two new members to the Board of Directors.

The new directors are Professor Max Lu, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) University of Queensland and Professor Keith Nugent, School of Physics University of Melbourne.

Professor Lu is an internationally renowned scientist in material sciences and nanotechnology. Professor Nugent is Laureate Professor and ARC Federation Fellow and is Research Director at the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Coherent X-ray Science.

Professors Lu and Nugent will join the Board next month.
