During a planned machine shutdown yesterday, we successfully completed the first phase of the network modifications, which isolated the machine network from the rest of the facility network. This will ensure that future component failures, as occurred last week, will not affect machine operations, while we continue to prepare for the complete decommission of the old hardware.

We have a second phase of network modifications planned for Friday morning, to further isolate the beamline networks also. Once implemented, these modifications will be verified before the weekend, by beamlines, so we are ready for User Beam next week.
